"Things 'Bout Comin' My Way" is the title of the Mississippi Sheiks Tribute album that will be released later this year on Black Hen Music. Featuring all new performances of the fantastic material of the Sheiks, the tribute covers everything from traditional to avant-garde takes on their classic repertoire. Congratulations to Old Man Luedecke who's album "Proof of Love" landed the #1 slot in the Earshot Folk/Roots charts for 2008. Old Man will be heading to both Europe and Australia this year to continue the promotion for his rave-reviewed album.
We here at Black Hen Music are very proud and excited to be releasing the new album by Kelly Joe Phelps, entitled 'Western Bell'. With a slated release date of March 17th in the USA and March 24th in Canada, this album is quite a departure for Kelly Joe, featuring 11 solo instrumental tracks and a long-awaited return to the lap-slide guitar.
