The Mississippi Sheiks Tribute Concert-Live in Vancouver (Black Hen Music) is a wonderful DVD with a September 21 release date. You get it all, 13 songs of Mississippi Sheik's music, interviews plus backstage footage including rehearsals. The MIssissippi Sheiks were a popular and influential guitar and fiddle group that played mainly country blues of the 1930'. The grand finale is their 1930 blues singls "Sitting On Top of the World" which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2008. The album's seventeen artists include Bruce Cockburn, Bill Frisell, The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Geoff Muldaur, Kelly Joe Phelps and John Hammond. Great Listen!
