"Things About Comin' My Way," which revived the repertoire of The Mississippi Sheiks, was MOJO's Blues Album of The Month in March 2010, the month of this concert recording. It is billed as a companion to the CD, which is entirely fair. The roster is considerably different- Dave Alvin and Alvin Youngblood Hart come in; The Carolina Chocolate Drops, Madeleine Peyroux and several others bow out- and of those who remain almost noone repeats their album song; most of the DVD's repertoire isn't on the CD at all. Once again, a huge hand to multi-instrumentalist/producer Steve Dawson for the founding idea and successfully bringing it to life.
