Matt Patershuk was raised in prairie towns in Canada and is now based in LaGlace, Alberta. His new album "I Was So Fond Of You" was recorded in Nashville with a bunch of fine musicians: Ana Egge on harmony vocals, Mike Bub on bass, Gary Craig on drums and Fats Kaplin and producer Steve Dawon on just about everything else. Patershuk is a fine songwriter in a style that draws on folk and classic country and the playing and arrangements are a delight.
